Scott J. Beigel Memorial Fund

2021
The Scott J. Beigel Memorial Fund is a non-profit organization founded in memory of Scott J. Beigel, the dedicated geography teacher and cross-country coach at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, who tragically lost his life along with 16 others to gun violence. The fund provides camperships to give at-risk, underserved children affected by gun violence the opportunity to attend summer sleep-away camp.
The logo needed to be clean, memorable, and visually impactful to help the organization stand out while remaining approachable to donors. A butterfly, a meaningful symbol cherished by Scott’s family, was incorporated into the design. By creatively shaping the butterfly using Scott’s initials, “S.J.B.,” the logo not only reinforces the fund’s mission but also keeps his legacy at the heart of the brand’s identity.
